Their compact dimensions, low weight, sparkling performance giving images of extremely high resolution, and famously ultra smooth focusing and diopter adjustment mechanism are all unsurpassed by more modern (post 1990) binoculars. There is also no doubt that optical excellence is only one factor of several to be considered when choosing binoculars, and all experienced users will agree with my view that there are necessary compromises to be made, and these Leitz 7x35B offer far more positive attributes than most others at well over twice their price. There is no doubt that these binoculars are among the very best ever produced, and preferred by many users to the newer products. Beautifully made and a dream to use, and the optics of these Leitz binoculars compare very favourably with the later Leica Trinovid and Ultravid among other top brands (Please see recent testimonials at the end of this listing, and one relating to this binocular in my "About Me" page). It also has a very wide field of view of 140m at 1000m, and although built to a higher standard than those currently available, weighs only 650gms.The binocular is equally suitable for use with or without spectacles. Being a late model, the lenses have the later multi-coatings, and the images through this particular example are VERY bright it is the best Leitz 7x42B I have seen and used.

In reality, the amount of detail gained by the extra steadiness in the hand that 7x gives, plus the extra image brightness (especially in poor light) of the 6mm exit pupil size, gives a significant advantage over higher powers to most users. It is built to last a lifetime and then passed on. This is THE binocular for use in low light. This LEITZ/LEICA 7x42B TRINOVID BINOCULARis in mint condition and is complete with it's original leather case and lanyard. This explains why I may not be the cheapest on eBay, but I am determined to be the best!*The reason I lost my "TOP SELLER" rating by eBay is that I went into hospital last year for major surgery, and since then have not sold enough to qualify. I go to great lengths to ensure that the ones I select for supply are perfect (except in a few cases some cosmetic wear, which will be declared in the description). I guarantee every pair to be optically perfect, and most are virtually unused. Because of this, and my years of experience of them, I take a pride in supplying only the very best examples. I specialise in supplying Leitz Trinovid binoculars both through eBay and privately.
